Internet connections and electricity supply are unreliable in communities on the fringes of our technological society. These factors exacerbate the digital divide and educational inequalities in rural and remote communities, developing countries, and conflict areas. A MoodleBox combines Moodle with Raspberry Pi hardware, creating a portable hotspot that learners interact with offline using their own devices. We conducted a scoping literature review to understand how MoodleBoxes facilitate learning. This synthesis will guide practice and policy decisions, identifying best practices and challenges. By analyzing existing research, stakeholders can gain valuable insights to inform the development of MoodleBox initiatives, ultimately fostering knowledge mobilization and skill development even in the most isolated communities.
